The first thing you need to know when trying to understand bourbon's beauty is the production process.

Did you know that all bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon?

It’s the way they manufacture the whiskey that makes it a bourbon. So, let’s learn about it.

Did you know that a few drops of water could make a glass of bourbon bloom?

I didn’t! — Actually, I did. But I wanted to normalize not knowing a lot about the drinks we enjoy.

There is so much to learn about our new shared interest.

But one day at a time.

I’m going to end this post with a recipe for making cocktails at home because being #quarantined doesn’t mean we have to live without our favorites.

I’m drinking Woodford Reserve straight.

I already shared on Instagram that my favorite cocktails are Manhattan and Old Fashioned.
