Avocado Toast
Quick recipes for Millennials’ favorite breakfast meal
I won’t lie to you. I usually give people who order avocado toast at restaurants the side-eye.
I thought they were trying to be bougie. It’s waste of money, right? At least that is what I would have said if you would have asked me last week.
Now, I understand why they buy it.
I’m a millennial and apparently avocado toast is a big thing to us.
I had access to two bags of avocados and instead of letting them go to waste, I’ve been making various dishes. So, toast made the list of things to make and I made three different versions.
Each one was equally delicious. Once your avocados are ready to use, cut them open and pour one tablespoon of lemon juice over them in a bowl.
MASH the avocado until it has a smooth-like consistency. Add a pinch of salt and a bit of garlic.
MIX in your diced onion and green pepper.
SPREAD over toasted bread and add whatever else your heart desires.
Ingredients:
- lemon juice
- a pinch of salt
- garlic powder
- diced onions and green pepper
- feta cheese
- boiled egg, tomatoes, or sausage
- avocado
